What is the RFC field at checkout?

Customers shipping to Mexico are asked for an RFC (Registro Federal de Contribuyentes), which is Mexico's tax ID number required by Mexican customs and tax authorities.

What if I don't have an RFC?

You can still complete your order using a generic RFC:
XAXX010101000 — for customers in Mexico without a personal RFC
XEXX010101000 — for foreign customers
Foreign nationals may also enter their passport number instead.

Do customers outside Mexico need an RFC?

No. The RFC field only appears for orders shipping to Mexico. US and other international customers will not be asked for it.
